Easter Traditions

We had our 15th annual Easter Egg hunt here in the neighborhood for the kiddos. We've only been here 8 years - the Green's started it way back before we were here, and it is something we look forward to every year.

The kids love it - they all line up in the driveway and on the count of 3 - 1...2...3...It's off to the races! It was a bright and sunny morning, but all of the kids little fingers froze! "Who Cares!" they say - they're coming home with chocolate and candy up to their armpits! We all enjoy a big potluck breakfast in the middle of the neighborhood circle and the adults get to talk and catch up.

Jackpot!! I love this stuff!

Eva and her easter egg huntin' friends, McKall and Natalie. Brandon decided to make a guest appearance in their picture.

Here are the kids + 1 Easter morning. We had Ethan's buddy Harrison staying with us over the weekend while his mean parents left to go look for a house in Virginia. Dang them. This moving across the country thing has got to stop!! We'll miss them.....again. Emails, phone, just the girls' trips - they all help to keep the friendship strong - but we're still not happy about it. Only happy for their successes....
Ethan painting his new car he got from the Easter Bunny. Nice Job, Dooders!

Daddy loves his kiddos! All the boys Easter morning taking a break from eating those nasty Peeps to pile on dad. Feel the love~

The talks went well - Thanks for asking :) - We had a lot of really supportive ward members tell us we did a great job, so I'm just going to believe them! It was a little crazy though - Sat. night my computer crashed, (along with a little help from moi)I lost all my kids pics for the last year and a half, and I was devestated. So the talk was suddenly the least of my worries!! (I think I can get my pics back, but i'll never slack again on backing up my files. I learned my lesson!!)
Everything else - surprisingly feeling great! Very nice to have some old friends back in town! They've been away for some time now.....

Eva also spoke - I was really proud of her. I don't think I mentioned that Eva was speaking too. She did a great job. That is a scary thing to do!

You made me laugh with that comment about your old friends. Isn't is nice to have some company again?
